You can add a promo code to your message created in GetResponse – they do need to be created first.
What types of promo codes can be created or added to GetResponse?
There are two types of promo codes:
- Master: The promo code is exactly the same for all your contacts. It can be shared, so it works best for general promotions that are not limited to specific customers. You can make it up and enter while creating.
- Unique: The promo code received by each contact is generated just for them. To add them to GetResponse you need to have them prepared in a CSV file. You can download them from your store or use one of many generators available online.
If you have a Shopify integration with discount codes created in Shopify, you can choose a code from a list of codes in Shopify. You can learn more about it here.
- Go to Promo codes tab in Ecommerce tools.
- Click Create promo code.
- Enter Promo code name.
- In the Promo codes settings section select the Master type.
- Enter or paste your promo code.
- Click Create promo code.
How to create a unique promo code?
- Go to Promo codes tab in Ecommerce tools.
- Click Create promo code.
- Enter Promo code name.
- In Promo codes settings section select the Unique type.
- Enter your fallback promo code. It is required in case you run out of unique codes.
- Drag a CSV file with promo codes or click to select it from your computer.
Note: each code needs to be added in a separate line in your file.
- Decide if you want us to tell you when your promo codes are running low. Use the option Alert me when a usage threshold is reached and set the code limit in the box below.
- We will display a notification on your Dashboard when you are getting close to the chosen limit.
- You will also see an exclamation point on the list of codes.
- Click Create promo code.
The imported unique code pool will be saved under one code listed in the Promo codes section. You can add more codes from a different file to the same unique promo code.
